Is a Hotdog a Sandwich?

I wrote and illustrated Is a Hotdog a Sandwich? in 2018, shortly after graduation. I had always been a big reader growing up and dreamed of being an author. So the minute I got the chance, I did just that. Hitting a lot of bumps along the road, I learned a lot on the journey. I ended up self-publishing through Amazon, and it is still sold there today.

Since its release, I have not advertised. However, this holiday, prepare to be sick of me. I will be posting this book fair-esque advertisement I made on every social media platform (image below).

This book was made with love, the story inspired by my time working in outdoor education. And originally hand-drawn, it was later modified in Photoshop as I did not account for standardized dimensions (one of those bumps I mentioned earlier).

I hope that anyone who reads this book has as much excitement as the group of kindergartners that listened as I read them the story. I have taken this book to different schools to read to students and to talk about the writing and illustration process. By doing this, I hope I encouraged them to make their own ideas come to life.
